The Bank for your Next Life

They say you can’t take it with you. So the only alternative is to keep it in safekeeping till you get back and reclaim what was yours when you reincarnate. Now you need not wonder where to stash your cash. There’s Reincarnation Bank for you.

Scriptures throughout the ages predict man’s reincarnation and rebirth. During the transition period to your next life, 2i Limited is offering safe keeping for any asset you wish to deposit. . . Begin by believing and just do it. The great end of life is not just knowledge but action so act now and save for your reincarnation.

Ever wondered why Nigerian scammers continue to operate? Because there are enough stupid people to make it worth the while. I bet you that the Reincarnation Bank people will get deposits. Of course their website has instructions for depositing but no instructions for withdrawals. Neat, eh? [Via: Pharyngula.]

I think I should put a storage device on the market. “Write Only Memory — 1 TB capacity. Only $19.99. Buy a dozen and save even more.”

The astonishing gullibility of some people never ceases to amaze.

Update: After I posted this, I see that in the comments on the Pharyngula thread someone else also proposed the Write Only Memory. Ah well.

I recall reading an article in the Wall Street Journal few years ago about a fellow who made a few million cool bucks by developing a tourist spot somewhere near San Diego, CA. The promise he made to the visitors was that they’d be directly above the center of the earth!

As for the Reincarnation Bank, the Vatican has been running one for centuries. Their motto: Deposit all you sins here. We guarantee a return to heaven 🙂
