President Javier Milei of Argentina, speaking during the General Debate at the 79th Session of the General Assembly of the UN in September 2024, prefaced his remarks by declaring that he was an economist and not a politician.
He basically told them that the collectivist agenda that the UN was following was likely to be disastrous and that it had lost its way. The UN needs to shape up, was his message.
Nicely done, Mr President, very nicely done indeed.
I’m happy for Argentina. I hope he liberates his beloved country and that nobody has to cry for Argentina. Let’s listen to the man. (I believe that the English dubbing from the original Spanish was done by AI.)

Anup, there are no exception to the rule that governments do not create wealth, and in most cases they destroy wealth.
BTW, “exceptions prove the rule” does not mean that exceptions validate (one meaning of the word ‘prove’) the rule but rather that exceptions test (another meaning of the word ‘prove’) the rule, and in some instances exceptions totally invalidate the rule.
