“As per a study by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations, India’s global merchandise exports for 2018 were $324.7 billion, of which $51.4 billion were to the US.” [Source: Donald Trump terminates preferential trade status for India under GSP.]
“China has a $700 billion trade relationship with the U.S., including imports and exports, but it has a $3 trillion trade relationship with the rest of the world.” [Source: Protectionism Is Iatrogenic Government.]
China’s economy is huge compared to India. In 1978, the two countries were in the same socialist hell: hundreds of millions living in dire poverty, with similar per capita GDP figures.
Just 40 years later, China is far ahead of India. The ratio of China’s GDP to India’s is the same as India’s GDP to the GDP of irrelevant small countries like Poland or Sweden — 5:1. (India’s population is about 30 times that of Poland, and over 120 times that of Sweden.)
Indians are not as intelligent as the Chinese, and not as capable as the Chinese in producing wealth. Or maybe Indians are as intelligent and capable as the Chinese but the government of India is the cause of India’s poverty and its poor global standing. The latter conjecture may be closer to the truth.
I believe that the Indian government is the biggest enemy that Indians face. Indians feed the enemy that systematically destroys them.
“In 1978, the two countries were in the same socialist hell: hundreds of millions living in dire poverty, with similar per capita GDP figures..’
While china did grow fast, the growth was probably overstated because of the Dollar-Yuan exchange rate back in 78. For poor 3rd worlders, food is the most important budget item. I checked that china grain production/capita in 1978 was over 300 kg while the indian figure in 2015 was about 200 kg. And the difference had little to do with fodder to meat conversion because Chinese meat consumption back then was still quite low(its about 60kg/capita in 2018, US figure(with more expensive beef)is > 100kg/capita).
“Indians are not as intelligent as the Chinese, and not as capable as the Chinese in producing wealth.”
That’s wrong!! There’s no such thing as ‘more intelligent’ ethnic groups. Chinese success has a lot to do with meeting geopolitical Darwinist challenge. The poverty of Indians IMO has more to do with:
1)Casteist elitism rather than government or ‘socialism’. Ever wonder why the Indians managed to create a successful I.T. or I.T. enabled sector for the more educated upper or upper-middle castes/class to work in air-conditioned rooms but lagged in labour-intensive manufacture(which enabled east Asians to jump start their economies) that could employed 10s of millions of poorer indians? (Labour regulation is not an excuse; I sincerely think its the other way round: because jobs are hard to come by, so the workers fought tooth and nail to keep their jobs.)
2)Odd sense of prioritization of objectives/goals. Examples:
— Because of success of the indian I.T. sector, some Indians thought india can by pass the industrialization stage. According to this indian economist(article written in 1995), Bharat was already in the post-industrial stage in 1995: http://swaminomics.org/?p=1481
—India obviously over produced sub-standard college graduates while the grade school system is in poor shape.
—India is likely the only country on earth that commissioned an aircraft carrier(in 1961 from UK) 6 years earlier than getting the first submarine(in 1967 from Russia). Why such urgency to acquire an aircraft carrier? I’m only a layman on such matters but my guess is that an aircraft carrier is good ‘India shining’ optics while a submarine usually submerges out of sight.

Intelligence is not just genes and intelligence is not absolute. You basically proved that Indians are less intelligent than Chinese as of today. And I see no path to recovery given current trajectory. Just the difference in Chinese and Indian pollution control efforts will lead to further significant relative drop in Indian intelligence in just 10 years. (An election where the Indian public elect very many violent criminals, shown only a personality exhibition featuring feku and pappu, is enough to prove the level of Indian intelligence.)

Thank you. Might be I misread you somewhat.
However I think the term ‘intelligence’ is inappropriate. It’s more how the populace react to internal and external environment and stimuli. Yes, Darwinism.
The modern Ashkenazi jews are said to have high IQ but during the Roman time, the jews were quite dull according to the romans and Judea was fucked up during the time of Jesus. It was during their diaspora they had to smart up to survive in hostile environment.
Another good example is how the Dutch overcame their proverbial flood problem. Some interesting and little known facts(my hat off to them):
–About 150-200 years ago, they were in fact a relative short people but now the tallest in the world. I constructed a joke like this:”Why did the Dutch grow so tall, well, they must keep their head above the flooding water”
–Its a small country but I read they are the 2nd biggest food exporting country on earth(Netherlands has a higher population density than India)
–Netherlands is the lynchpin of semi-conductor industry. They produce the most advanced photolithography machines.

Pessimystery, my mistake. Apologies for my error. I did not notice that your comment was a reply to Lin. I have removed my previous comment to you. (It’s helpful to address people when replying to comments.)
