Once again the Religion of Peace has triumphed in yet another part of the world. Afghanistan used to be Buddhist once upon a time. Remember the huge Bamiyan Buddhas? The Taliban took care of them. Islam does wonders for any region it occupies.
The picture above is of the tombstone of Babur in Bagh-e-Babur in Kabul, Afghanistan. On an official visit to Afghanistan in 2005, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visited Babur’s tomb to pay his respects to that tyrant. The wiki says,

Historians suggest the early Mughal period of religious violence contributed to introspection and then the transformation in Sikhism from pacifism to militancy for self-defense. Singh was bowing at the grave of the tyrant who slaughtered Hindus and Sikhs. Singh was paying tribute to the people who slaughtered Sikh Gurus.

Somehow Modi will out-do Manmohan Singh. His policy is to allow all Afghanis free entry into India. Basically, Modi wants the Taliban to find a foothold in India. Like Babur before them, they too will murder Sikhs and Hindus before too long.

Explain what the historian Will Durant in his massive scholarly work The Story of Civilization meant when he wrote, “The Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precious good, whose delicate complex of order and freedom, culture and peace, can at any moment be overthrown by barbarians invading from without or multiplying within.”
That’s an eminent historian, not some nutjob on the internet.
Not just non-Muslims, even Muslims are terrified of Islam. They try to escape Islamic countries for fear that they’d be slaughtered by their Muslims neighbors because apostasy is punished with death.
Heard of Ayaan Hirsi Ali? Well, listen and read what she has to say about Islam. I am not a scholar but she is. Go understand what you are up against if you try to defend the claim that Islam has been good for the world. From what I know about the world, Islam has been an unmitigated disaster. Samuel Huntington (check out the wiki to find out who he is) wrote, ““Islam’s borders are bloody and so are its innards. The fundamental problem for the West is not Islamic fundamentalism. It is Islam, a different civilisation whose people are convinced of the superiority of their culture and are obsessed with the inferiority of their power.”

There’s nothing in Islam that recommends it to anyone who is not born one. You, for instance, would not have converted to Islam if you had been born a Jew or a Christian.
Is there any principle in Islam that is good and original to it? No. Is there any principle that is not good and original in Islam? Yes. Anything that is remotely good in Islam, has been around for millennia. What’s original is not good and what is good is not original. So what’s the great thing about Islam? That it’s an Arab imperialist political movement. I don’t know if you are native speaker of Arabic but I bet good money that you have to pray in Arabic to an Arabic deity.

Not only it is “fair” but it is “rational” to do so. Anyone who believes otherwise is exposing himself to possible extinction at the hands of Islam.
I am glad that you can prove Atanu Wrong. But may I suggest that it is waste of time because as a lonely economist it is pretty much pointless and will have not impact on the world. I recommend you teach this “true meaning” to your fellow Muslims. Once they have all turned peaceful and once the countries like Pakistan, Afganistan, Saudi Arabia etc. turn much freerer and liberal I suggest we can all meeting in Kabah where we can renovate the temple of Hubal, setup a large Ganesha temple as well next to a Mosque and admire our achievements while having a beer.

You have a comprehension problem. I said it is pointless to convince a hindu that “ISIS and Taliban are not real muslims”. Say I get convinced, what good does it for the world ? None. It only makes non Muslims drop their guard against Islam and thus actually end up helping ISIS and Taliban.
It is irrelevant for non Muslims what the Islamic community is doing against terrorism. What I care about is whether having more muslims near me hurts my quality life or not; and the answer is yes. Any region which has large number of muslims quickly becomes a de facto Shariah zone which restricts my freedom. So I will do everything in my power to ensure that there are no muslims in my land and if they are there convince them to convert to some other faith or become atheists.
Tell me in your ideal Islamic society will non muslims have the right to drink alcohol, watch porn, draw pictures of Muhammad, perform large scale worships of idols and build temples to celebrate Idols ? Can non Muslims enjoy pork in their homes in your “true Islam” society ?
Islamic terrorism at this scale is a uniquely Islamic concept. I haven’t see any buddhist militant groups that are bombing far away nations. I haven’t seen Hindus dropping bomb in Paris or killing cartoonists for insulting their gods. I haven’t seen Jewish folks doing knife attacks in London over insult to Judaism. This is a uniquely Islamic problem and it is very clear that it is not the people but the ideology that creates this sick mentality.
You are young which is good, it means you have ample time before you to change your mind. However, I will suggest you to implore the possibility that that Islam is just a desert cult started by a mentally ill individual who convinced others of his being “prophet”, caused immense destruction and violence, recycled old and contemporary stories into a series of random “teachings” which later fanatics compiled into a book.
Few centuries later, a young boy is wasting his time and life over this. Trust me it is not worth it. Watch Netflix (or porn), hang out with your friends, have sex and travel around the world seeking pleasure. Islam is not worth wasting your life. There is no heaven, no hell and we all are made up of stardust and in stardust we go.

What I feel sad about Afganistan is that it is not really the fault of the people. It is really the fault of Islam.
Afganistan is the land of Gandhara Kingdom which played a big role in Mahabharat. It was home to several Buddhist shrines and some great centers of learnings like Takshashila. These are the same people who are now wearing garbage bag around their head and fucking dead bodies[1].
This is what Islam does to the land.
